As we say goodbye to Asst Fire Chief Jeff, we welcome the new Asst Fire Chief, Rick Madrigal. Rick has stepped up and really been proactive at introducing himself to the local powers-that-be: the Fremont and Custer county sheriffs and the other local fire departments. It feels like a new era for the VFD, and that’s something to be excited about. We have new members, and are in the process of re-organizing. Last meeting’s agenda:

· Introduce myself and explain crew structure.
· Assign personnel call signs and very basic 10 codes.
· Determine who is directly involved and who is not.
· New training program for crews
· Equipment inventory and acquisition
· Basic training on fire prevention and containment
· Questions and answers
